WSDM 2026 Overview

Resilience begins at home.

The world comes to Dehradun for three days. What it works on is what happens in one valley, one district, one season.

Our Mission

Convene the world. Build resilience where people actually live.

Why here

Uttarakhand lives the question. A state that meets floods, landslides and cloudbursts every year is the right place to ask what actually holds.

WSDM 2026 brings researchers, policymakers, practitioners and industry leaders into one room for three days. It is organised by the Himalayan Academy of Science & Technology, in association with the Uttarakhand Council for Science and Technology.

Hundreds of students, teachers and community representatives from 95 blocks of the state take part alongside delegates from across the world. The summit is held in the Himalaya and built to be useful to it.
